Chapter 467 - 29. Cloud Cat Species
"Ah, though both are near the sea, the feeling on land and on the sea differs greatly. It’s hard to explain this kind of thing, since the change is so subtle... Haha, no rush, no rush. After we have a drink, you’ll understand this change. Let me go buy some supplies first, then we can discuss this properly, how about that?"
"..."
At Patulshen Island’s port, Pahetz’s voice could be heard from afar, but in fact, these words were addressed to one person—hm, that would be the old gentleman from Nali.
Having disembarked from the Iceberg Queen, the crew had plenty of tasks to busy themselves with. A vacation was essential for these female country residents who hadn’t set foot on land for a long time, but before that, their primary mission was to gather the necessary supplies for their voyage.
Isabella stayed on board. Unlike the other eager crew members, she had nothing she wanted to buy. It was better for her to continue training on the ship and, incidentally, keep an eye on Karma and the others for Old Jack. They were too rambunctious, and who knew how much trouble they would cause if brought ashore. Thankfully, Old Jack had promised to bring them back some sweets, which had barely calmed them down.
Leading the way for the crew, Pahetz was in high spirits as she introduced everything about the island to the old Nali gentleman. They had visited this place many times before and had an excellent grasp of the locale.
Just before she left, Pahetz turned back to glance at Alagina, who had stayed in the same spot, and secretly gave her a "hang in there" look, then cast her eyes toward many glittering signs on the island, obviously hinting at something... like the variety of hotels.
Only in the early afternoon, the eye-catching signs had already lit up early, giving the island a unique flavor—though most of them were brothels that preferred to do this.
Overseas brothels, at some point, learned the way of Saint Nali’s Pink Hall to attract clients, replacing the ambiguous lighting with the ladies who used to stand on the streets. Although a coy veil had been cast over it, it hadn’t affected the business one bit.
"Fisher, if we are buying materials, let’s head this way. There is a market there specializing in materials... Magic Materials are not in high demand here since there aren’t many Mages. I wonder if the quantity is sufficient."
Alagina and Fisher watched the large group of crew members leave the port. They didn’t follow but stayed where they were.
Originally, Alagina intended to take Fisher for a stroll on the island alone, but Ossie had disembarked, and she couldn’t have the reclusive Ossie follow the other crew members. After all, she didn’t talk much, and over the years, Alagina had grown accustomed to having such a silent guard by her side. Thus, what was meant to be a date for two turned into an outing for three.
