For not far away, several small boats had converged on a larger one, creating chaos on the deck, with numerous bodies falling into the sea and chests of treasures hidden on the ship being dragged out, adding a backdrop of screams and wails to the usually quiet sea surface.
Clearly, those robbers had made a good haul.
