Demi-human Girls Completion Manual

Chapter 430 - 11. Ice Prince

Fisher swam upwards through the deep, dark waters, intending to return to the site where he had just discovered the ruins to check the extent of the damage to the hard-found All Things Warning Stone Tablet.

He glanced back one last time toward the deep sea below. The enormous mushrooms emitting bioluminescence were now completely out of sight, and of course, so were the group of Jellyfish Men who had been calling out to him with hands on hips.

Previously, Fisher had heard from Lingna about a demi-human race adept at weaving garments known as the Jellyfish Species, living above the Great Sea Vortex. He wondered if they were the ones he had just encountered; they certainly bore a striking resemblance to jellyfish, albeit their appearance was somewhat strange to the land-dwelling Fisher.

The profound ocean was exceedingly tranquil. Fisher felt that his earlier descent with the Siren took less than a minute, but now swimming back up from that spot took quite some time before he could see the edge of the cliff.

Above the cliff, the already disordered ruins had now suffered a catastrophe. Numerous fragments of stone pillars lay scattered on the ground, and Fisher hurriedly ran to the square where the All Things Warning Stone Tablet was placed, only to find that a dark stone, because of the Siren’s destruction, had left behind nothing but a small section of its base.

Fisher frowned, looked around but found no scattered fragments—it seemed they had been swallowed by that damn Siren...

He let out a sigh of slight disappointment, though he was not overly discouraged because Elliog had once mentioned that almost every human settlement had one of those things; if he couldn’t see its entirety here, there would be other chances later. Besides, Fisher could also ask Emhardt for more information about the All Things Warning Stone Tablet.

Fisher took one last look at the devout human prostrating on the ground at the base of the stone tablet, stretching his hands upward, and followed the direction of his worship. The Mother Goddess statue, like the half-shattered Vienna, continued to look affectionately down upon him.

The history of human faith in the Mother Goddess is so ancient and untraceable, after all, according to human myth, even humanity itself was her creation.

But according to the description on the All Things Warning Stone Tablet, humans were evidently at the very bottom of the Life Rank at that time. Their depiction of Life Rank was arranged upward from themselves, and the very name "warning" seemed to prove that the environment in which humans lived was not safe, requiring them to be constantly vigilant and protect against dangerous High Rank species.
