Chapter 429 - 10. All Things Warning Stone Tablet

The clear sea water was like light taking physical form above the surface, turning into strands of visible white silk spreading out, perfectly illuminating the mysterious ruins hidden at the bottom of the ocean for an unknown number of years.

Fisher’s view of the Mother Goddess was blurry, but her demeanor was captured with precise accuracy. Even without facial features, her benevolent and serene gaze was effortlessly perceptible.

Since the Mother Goddess Statue appeared here, it was clear which race the ruins belonged to...

This was a creation of Humans, but the exact year of construction was entirely unknown, with only the age of this place judged to be very ancient.

Before the Mother Goddess Statue, there stood an enormous black stele about two meters high. Looking straight on, the stele was situated exactly under the Mother Goddess’s outstretched palms.

Fisher’s heartbeat quickened slightly as he approached the stele, whose inscriptions were already blurred. He gently brushed away some of the seaweed covering it, revealing inscriptions corroded by seawater.

There were no words on it. Instead, horizontal lines were etched parallel downwards along the center, like a long set of stairs stretching from the sky all the way below, each stair flanked by eroded humanoid figures, vaguely denoting some kind of living creatures.

On the face of the stele, countless living beings stood beside the steps, looking down at those on the lower stairs.

As his gaze slowly descended, the silhouette of a clear, kneeling figure emerged in Fisher’s eyes at the very bottom of the staircase.

It was a small figure identical to a human’s form, genderless, currently prostrating devoutly at the very end of the staircase. Its hands were respectfully outstretched above its head as if to receive something or perhaps praying or begging to some entity, the specific meaning unclear.
