Chapter 230: Alias
Ryu went to the Field Marshal’s house the next morning. They have to speed up their actions now and Field Marshal is their strongest point right now.
Ryu stood up when he saw The field Marshal coming and greeted him, "Good Morning Sir."
"Good morning. How are you kid? Take your seat. Your grandpa met me and told everything yesterday... I insisted not to involve you as much as possible since I have got enough men for the job..." said Field Marshal Chan as he gestured Ryu to sit down.
"I’m good Sir. Thanks. It’s our family’s fight so it’s just right for me to get involved. I’m actually indebted to you since you are willing to help us with my brother’s case." Ryu answered politely.
"Nah. You know that my debt to your grandfather is so huge that I’m afraid I won’t be able to repay it in this lifetime." exclaimed Field Marshal Chan in a jest.
"Oh... but grandpa said he owed so many debts to you." Ryu murmured with furrowed eyebrows.
"Then tell your grandpa that we’ll count each other’s debts and see how much balance is still there for each of us..." Field Marshall answered with a jest and laughed
Then he continued, "Your grandpa wants me to stay quiet for some time and not let the people know we are close to protect my image... I kept saying it was nothing because he was already a clean man now but he insisted to keep our good friendship and deep connection a secret."
"He never changed his attitude until now since the time I have known him. He came here yesterday without announcement and suddenly told me straightforwardly: -Help me bring down one of the most notorious person in the underworld, who did a lot of illegal things and had committed a lot of murders!- and I was like hey friend tell me how are you first or at least ask me how am I doing? Then I knew right away that it’s very urgent and might involve his family..." Field Marshall paused and looked at Ryu intensely without blinking...
