Chapter 231: Be With Him
Shawn and Denise got down from the helicopter and sat down in the back seat of the luxurious car arranged by Ryu at the helipad. It would take them another half an hour or more to reach the Old Man Skull’s mansion.
Denise was tensed and Shawn could notice her panic by the way she looked at him and held his arm. Shawn slid his one arm around her and brought her close to himself and held her chin with his other hand, looked into her eyes and said, "What happened? Are you fine?"
Denise nodded and then tears started flowing from her eyes. She wrapped her arms around Shawn and let her emotions calm down first.
"Shawn, I don’t even remember when, but you have become the center of my life. I always want to be in your radius, connected to your heart. Today I am afraid, really afraid. But I promise, I will do my best to keep that old man in an illusion that I am being clingy and am just following you, whereas you are running away from me. But you also promise me two things, first you will always love me like this and secondly... you will take care of yourself and be safe for me... while I am not around... because you belong to me now."
Shawn heard her words and was filled with an indescribable happiness. In past few days, his life had changed completely and today he wanted to live and be safe for the sake of his parents, brothers and for his lovely wife. He nodded to her and kissed her on her lips, wiping her tears with his thumb. Then he consoled her and said, "Be prepared to hear some bad sentences from me in front of the old man. Don’t hate me after that love."
And they both smiled together and prepared themselves for the upcoming confrontation with the Old Man Skull.

In the Lee Mansion:
"Hello Uncle, how are you? There, I will return Shawn to you now. Why is he so cold to me uncle? Had he been this cold to all the people around or am I a special case for him? Uncle please can you help me out to convince him to prepare for our wedding soon and I already have a date in mind. I tried to talk to him about it but he said he will still think about it." Denise said with pouted lips as she tried to convince Old Man Skull with her acting.
"Why are you in such a rush? Had you not been clinging to me since morning?" Shawn hissed then added, "I will go and check my friend, please have someone drive you home carefully. I will go and see my friend now!"
