Chapter 96: Every Elder’s Wish And Dream
"Ryu is already married. How about you Dean? How many more blind dates do you need for you to finally choose a partner for good?" Elder Master Ken lashed out at Dean while they were having a family gathering at the ancestral mansion.
Every weekend, his parents together with him will visit the ancestral mansion to discuss either business or family issues. Dean’s mother, Sarah Ken was the youngest among Elder Master Ken’s siblings.
Dean almost spilled-out his tea upon hearing his grandfather’s questions.
"Grandpa, why are you always so worked up about us looking for a partner? It’s like whenever there’s someone in the family who is reaching near 30 years of age, you start pushing them for incessant blind dates." Dean hissed as he sipped the jasmine tea more carefully prepared by Untie Cecile.
"This grandpa of yours is already old and above all I’m so tired seeing just all your faces. I wish to see some fresh beautiful faces in the family now and also I want a big family and I hope that I could play with many great-grandchildren soon. It’s every elder’s wish and dream don’t you know?" Elder Master Ken exclaimed while looking at Sarah and Karl who were enjoying their talks together with their spouses.
Dean followed his grandfather’s gaze and sighed.
"Is Uncle Alex still bitter? Oh I mean still not talking to you?" he asked with an arched eyebrow. He had heard that Uncle Alex still don’t step in the mansion ever since Ryu took over the position of the CEO for RK Summit Holdings Inc group of Companies.
If he be asked, he believed that grandfather made the right choice. Uncle Alex was someone who loves power, no, the way he saw it the man was obsessed with power. He never seemed to get enough and wanted to get a hold of everything entire business and properties....
’Geez Uncle Alex got some bad attitude really!’ Dean thought as he shook his head. That uncle was the black sheep in the family.
