Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 800: Torture

Chapter 800: Chapter 800: Torture

At this point, Patrick was desperate enough to consider almost anything.

’If giving up one finger means I can sleep for even an hour, then I will do it.’

As he thought about it, the heavy door opened.

Silas entered the room.

The moment Patrick saw him, he began struggling against his restraints. Panic surged through him as he tried desperately to pull away.

Silas merely chuckled. "Why are you reacting so much? Are you furious because you saw me?"

Patrick’s eyes widened. Silas turned as though he were about to leave.

"All right, then. I will not disturb you."

Patrick immediately began sobbing. He shook his head frantically and tried to speak through his damaged mouth.

"Sorry. Sorry."

Silas stopped. He slowly turned around and looked at Patrick. "Do you feel remorse for harming my wife?"

Patrick nodded desperately. "Yes. Yes."

He could barely form the words, but his expression made his desperation obvious.

Silas smiled. "All right, then. Point toward the body part you are willing to give up."

Patrick hesitated for only a moment before raising his index finger. Silas looked at it.

Without saying another word, he took the necessary tool and cut it off for once and all.

Patrick screamed in agony.

The sound echoed through the underground room, bouncing against the concrete walls.

The policemen standing nearby remained expressionless. They had already heard what this man had done to their lady boss.

Whatever sympathy they might have once possessed had long since disappeared.

Patrick stared down at his injured hand, trembling violently as tears streamed down his face.

Silas looked at him calmly. "You have one hour."

Patrick slowly raised his head.

"You can sleep for one hour. So sleep properly."

Silas glanced at the clock. "And your one hour begins now."

Patrick almost screamed again. The pain was unbearable.

’How am I supposed to sleep like this?’

Yet exhaustion was stronger than his suffering. His entire body was desperate for rest.

Eventually, Patrick closed his eyes.

Despite the agony pulsing through him, exhaustion finally dragged him into an uneasy sleep.

Exactly one hour later, he was awakened again.

Patrick immediately became irritated and began thrashing against his restraints.

He did not want to remain awake. He wanted nothing more than to close his eyes and disappear into sleep.

However, Silas was far too meticulous to allow even that small comfort.

He had arranged for someone with a supernatural ability to interfere with Patrick’s sleep.

The ability could completely suppress a person’s capacity to fall asleep. It did not make the victim feel refreshed.

Quite the opposite.

The person remained desperately exhausted, their body begging for rest, while their mind remained painfully awake.

Patrick soon discovered the true horror of it.

He was tired enough to collapse, yet no matter how tightly he closed his eyes or how still he kept his body, sleep simply would not come.
