Meanwhile, Asher walked deeper into the house.Danielle, who was sulking in the living room, immediately heard his footsteps approaching. She knew exactly who it was, but she deliberately refused to look in his direction.
Just last night, after they had cleared up all their misunderstandings, they had finally confirmed their relationship. Danielle had even been kind enough to give Asher a spare key to her house.

The memory still irritated her. Therefore, when Asher entered the living room, Danielle deliberately turned her face away.
Asher did not say much. He simply walked over and dropped himself onto the sofa beside her.

"I just saw your boyfriend outside."
Danielle’s brows furrowed even deeper. "What do you mean?"
Asher leaned back against the sofa and looked at her with an amused expression.
"I saw your ex-boyfriend, Jackson. He was standing outside and acting all lovey-dovey."
He paused deliberately before adding, "Tell me, is he really that handsome that you did not even bother informing your new boyfriend that you already had another boyfriend?"
Danielle stared at him in disbelief.
"What nonsense are you talking about? I have already told you that I have no relationship with Jackson."
Her voice became sharper as she remembered the man standing outside.
"I would definitely have confronted him properly if you had not come inside."
With that, she stood up. Asher immediately reached out and caught her hand. "There is no need."
Danielle turned toward him. "I wanted to go and deal with him."
Asher gently pulled her back toward him and wrapped his arms around her.
"You do not need to. I already dealt with him."
Danielle struggled for a moment before eventually giving up and allowing herself to rest against his chest.
