Chapter 779: Good News

Chapter 779: Chapter 779: Good News

"Not every lifetime I reincarnate into will have an Ivy who gets another chance. Not every lifetime will have an Ivy who is brave enough to fight against fate for our love. I only got you because of luck."

His lips curved into a proud yet bittersweet smile.

"And I truly... I truly feel superior. I even feel smug. Compared to every other Silas across all those parallel worlds... I’m the only one lucky enough to have you."

Hearing those words, Ivy completely froze.

Her pupils widened. She had never thought that deeply before.

Her fingers slowly curled into tight fists as tears began streaming uncontrollably down her cheeks.

It was true. Whether it was the Ivy from her previous life who had died tragically, or the Ivy of this lifetime... there would always be a Silas who loved her with every piece of his soul.

A Silas who would choose her over the entire world. But not every Silas would have an Ivy.

Not every version of her would be courageous enough to stand against destiny and fight for the person she loved.

Some versions would lose Silas forever, leaving behind an Ivy who would spend the rest of her life drowning in despair.

The thought alone shattered her heart. Silas continued holding her tightly. "I know I’m selfish."

He smiled weakly. "I’m painfully aware of just how selfish I am. I can’t give you up. Not even for this entire world. Because nothing this world could ever offer me will ever compare to you alone, Ivy."

Upon hearing those words, Ivy slowly tightened her embrace around him. "I’m sorry..."

Her voice was barely above a whisper. "I promise... I’ll cherish my life from now on."

Those simple words were like warm sunlight melting away years of frozen fear.

Silas finally let out a long sigh of relief. It felt as though an invisible knot that had been strangling his heart since that day had finally begun to loosen.

He gently pulled her back and smiled softly. "Since you’ve apologized... let’s forget about this."

Then his expression became serious once more. "But please..."

Before he could finish, Ivy nodded earnestly. "I know."

She smiled through her tears. "I’ll never put my life at risk again."

A relieved grin finally appeared on Silas’s face. However, the very next second, Ivy suddenly staggered. "Wait..."
