Silas helplessly rubbed the bridge of his nose. His once fierce temper had completely disappeared.Compared to before, he now resembled a large, obedient wolf that willingly lowered its head before only one person. Ivy.
He would never argue with her over trivial matters anymore.
Instead, he had become extraordinarily cautious whenever she was around.
In fact, after learning about the pregnancy, the very first thing he had done was repeatedly question the doctor about whether their activities the previous night might have harmed the baby.
The poor doctor had nearly lost his patience after answering the same question several times.

He paused thoughtfully before continuing.
"However, for some unknown reason, the baby appears to be slightly weaker than normal. So if you want both the mother and child to remain healthy, you’ll need to make sure Miss Ivy eats nutritious food, gets plenty of rest, and avoids exhausting herself."
Silas immediately nodded without a second thought. "I understand."
From that very moment onwards, he began treating Ivy as though she were the world’s most precious porcelain doll.
He refused to let her walk. Whenever she wanted to go somewhere, he simply picked her up and carried her.
Whether it was climbing stairs, walking through hallways, or even moving from the bed to the dining table, he insisted on carrying her himself.
After enduring it for nearly an entire day, Ivy finally couldn’t take it anymore.
She lightly smacked his arm.
"If you keep carrying me everywhere, won’t I end up gaining a lot of weight?"
She imagined herself with an enormous belly and chubby cheeks before dramatically covering her face.
"And after giving birth, I’ll probably look like a big, fat pig!"
Silas looked at her with complete sincerity. "I honestly don’t care."
His voice was gentle.
"For me, you’ll always be my beautiful Ivy."
His fingertips gently caressed the corner of her eyes.
"Your eyes are the most beautiful part of you. When I look into them... I feel like I’m looking directly at your soul. So it doesn’t matter what your appearance becomes. It doesn’t matter whether you gain weight... Or lose it."
’And I prefer you to gain weight and become fat... rather than looking so thin. It makes my heart ache.’ He thought internally but didn’t dare to voice it out.
