No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother

Chapter 672 - 670: Everyone Has Their Flaws [2nd Update]

Maya Spencer’s eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at Christopher Scott and asked, "Christopher, how do you know so much? Theo just came back a few days ago, and you already know him? My cousin has been abroad all this time, how do you know him?"

Liam Spencer didn’t even know about Theo beforehand, but Christopher did, which aroused Maya’s curiosity, making her wonder if this guy had secretly investigated Sophia Bennett.

In an instant, Christopher was stunned!

If his ears hadn’t deceived him, Maya had just said Theo was Sophia’s cousin. He had actually been deceived.

To confirm whether he had been tricked, Christopher frowned and cautiously asked, "Theo is Sophia’s cousin?"

"Don’t you know?" Maya was surprised this time, and for a moment, she seemed to think of something.

But the next second, she saw Christopher raise his right hand and furtively laugh while touching his nose.

Suddenly, Maya understood that Christopher had met Theo a few days ago and had been fooled by Sophia.

But what did Christopher’s sneaky laugh mean? Could it be that he had ulterior motives for Sophia?

Suddenly, Christopher felt incredibly good. He never expected that he had been deceived by such a cunning person as Sophia. The so-called childhood sweetheart fiancé was actually just a cousin.

For the first time in a year and a half, Christopher felt his mood so wonderful, life so beautiful, full of hope and sunshine everywhere.

These past few days, when he received texts from Sophia, he couldn’t believe she didn’t have feelings for him. It turned out his intuition was right.

Christopher’s long-standing depression was suddenly relieved, and he decided that this time, he wouldn’t let happiness slip away; he would hold onto Sophia steadfastly.

He could be sure that he liked Sophia. He saw the changes she made for him, even though it was a bit late, he saw it.

He liked the current Sophia, who had no resemblance to Seven Murray, liked her quiet love; liked how she always silently watched him; liked how she always smiled at him; liked how she texted him; liked how she told him everything that happened each day; liked how she regarded him as so important.

He liked everything about her, maybe because her giving up made him realize her goodness, and Christopher just hoped that this time he wouldn’t be too late to look back.

Despite loving his dignity, despite enjoying being pursued, he was more willing to try and chase Sophia; more willing to show her how important she was to him; more willing to let her know he liked her very much, so much that a day without seeing her felt like three years apart, and without her, he felt soulless.

This wasn’t dependency or habit. Quitting a habit wouldn’t take away the soul, but quitting Sophia would make him lose his soul.

Now, what he had to do was to let Sophia confidently and openly look at him. He wanted to try with her, wanted to try experiencing love with her.

He didn’t need a follower, didn’t need her humility; he just wanted to give her all his love, have a carefree love affair, a passionate love affair.

He wouldn’t be as arrogant and conceited as he was at 19, wouldn’t be aloof; he wanted to give and enjoy the taste of being in love.

Suddenly, Christopher felt full of energy, waiting for Sophia’s appearance, waiting for this energy to burst.

On the side, Maya looked at Christopher, who was laughing brighter than a flower, with furrowed brows, not understanding him; thinking, why did he suddenly look as if he was revitalized? Did he really have feelings for Sophia?

Maya stared straight at Christopher, recalling his usual indifference and found it unlikely.

After all, this guy had always been too aloof towards Sophia. She couldn’t imagine him hiding his feelings so deeply.

So Maya took a deep breath, raised her right hand, poked Christopher with her finger, and asked, confused, "Christopher, did you suddenly realize my sister is quite cute and find you like her?"

Christopher’s inexplicable mood made Maya unable to guess anything else, so she directly asked him.

Christopher had a playful smile on his lips and was about to answer Maya’s question when Sophia suddenly arrived. Her eyes didn’t fall on Christopher but instead looked at Maya directly, calling, "Maya."

Upon hearing Sophia’s voice, Maya quickly stood up from the sofa and went to greet Sophia.

When Sophia’s small hand was held by Maya, her gaze inadvertently fell on the sofa where Christopher was seated.

To avoid embarrassment, Sophia politely nodded to Christopher, then withdrew her gaze and looked at Maya, intentionally discussing things about Seven’s store.

The moment their eyes met, Sophia noticed Christopher seemed to be smiling, smiling at her.

Sophia couldn’t be sure of Christopher’s feelings, nor could she be sure he would smile at her. She thought maybe he was cheerful from chatting with Maya and hadn’t quickly retracted his smile, so when he saw her, there was still a trace of a smile at the corner of his mouth.

Sophia didn’t know that Christopher indeed was smiling at her, but she dodged it.

If her gaze had lingered a few seconds longer, she could have seen her reflection in Christopher’s eyes.

This was something she had once eagerly anticipated but now couldn’t care less about.

Christopher watched Sophia’s evasive gaze with a hint of embarrassment, wanting to greet her, but she pulled Maya to sit at the bar instead.

Christopher took a deep breath, lazily sat on the sofa, his right hand’s fingers resting beside his lips, intently watching Sophia chatting and laughing with Maya.

On the side sofa, Liam glanced at Christopher’s gaze, a cold smirk appeared on his lips, and he disdainfully cursed, "Loser!"

In his eyes, Christopher was indeed pathetic. When Sophia chased him, his attitude could reach the heavens; now that she wasn’t chasing him, his gaze couldn’t leave her. Wasn’t that pitiful?

Christopher heard Liam call him a loser, but he wasn’t angry, only smiling and retaliated, "Calling me that, as if you’ve never been pathetic."

Christopher still remembered, a few years ago, he couldn’t remember which pathetic guy was making things difficult for Maya in a bar’s private room, and it was him who helped out!

In short, birds of a feather flock together. The brothers each had their own pathetic moments.

Hearing Christopher’s retort, Liam grabbed the tissue box on the table and threw it at Christopher. Christopher caught it, put it back on the table, and then stood up from the sofa, walking leisurely toward the bar.

He still remembered the first time he met Sophia was in this bar too.

Back then, Sophia fell for him at first sight, spent the whole night beside him, staring at him, making him feel a bit embarrassed.

Recalling past events, Christopher’s lips curved into a helpless smile. He just didn’t understand why he hadn’t discovered Sophia’s cuteness sooner!
