No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother

Chapter 268 - 266: I Don’t Want It Anymore [1st Update]

After a day and night of contemplation, Maya Spencer had come to a complete realization that it was impossible to escape Liam Spencer’s clutches.

Since that was the case, she decided to stay by his side and use every effort to exact revenge on him. She adopted the idea her uncle initially had, which could be summed up as a ’honey trap.’

There were too many grievances between her and Liam, even involving ’life.’ She couldn’t forgive Liam; she couldn’t act like a fool and continue being Grace to him.

Since her frontal assault had no impact on him, she might as well change her tactics to confuse and torment him.

Thus, she decided to stay by Liam’s side, giving him the body he desired, while simultaneously carrying out her own revenge plan.

The pain she had experienced she must return to Liam, or else her life would have no meaning. Rather than be persistently slept with by him, she’d rather die and break free earlier.

However, Maya was a very stubborn person, so unless she exhausts all means to exact revenge, she wouldn’t be content.

On the other end of the phone, Aron Hanson listened to Maya’s inquiry and asked leisurely, "Maya, do you know what you are doing?"

"I know, I’ve already reached a dead end. Besides, staying by Liam’s side is the safest option." Maya said helplessly.

"Maya, there’s no need to reject Liam. Trying to accept him might be a better approach." Aron tried to persuade Maya to consider the situation from another perspective.

Since she couldn’t escape Liam’s grip, why not attempt to accept his emotions.

"Uncle, if you need me to do anything, just tell me!" Maya directly ignored Aron’s suggestion because she couldn’t turn herself into another person. Although she could act in this play, she couldn’t deceive her own heart.

"Alright. If there’s anything, uncle will contact you." Aron didn’t immediately assign tasks to Maya, since she had already embarked on this path of no choice, he would naturally have to consider carefully, maximizing benefits and not wasting any opportunity.

"Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Maya couldn’t help but take a long breath, showing her confusion.

When she turned away from the floor-to-ceiling window, she saw Liam standing in the doorway, looking at her without moving.

Suddenly, Maya’s legs went weak, and she stammered, "When did you come? Why didn’t you make any sound?"

The man looked at her guilty expression, walked towards her unhurriedly, gently took her into his arms, pressed his forehead against hers, and asked, "I just came in. Who were you talking to on the phone?"

Looking at the man’s gentle attitude, Maya finally felt a half-relief, thinking he surely hadn’t heard her phone conversation, otherwise he would’ve been angry.

So, she pretended to be calm and said, "Just reassuring my uncle."

"With me here, how could you be unsafe?" The man said and then kissed her lips.

Feeling his passion, to avoid arousing his suspicion about the phone call, Maya immediately extended her small hand to gently hook his neck and responded to him.

Liam felt the girl’s response and said, "Maya, you’ve learned to be obedient."

"I can’t run, so why struggle?" Maya’s hands hooked around his neck. She slightly lowered her head to look straight into his eyes and spoke earnestly.

At this moment, she felt too lazy to run,

Liam took her into his arms and kissed her little face.

Liam, looking at the obedient Maya in his arms, raised his right hand and gently caressed her little face, saying, "Maya, you can be willful staying with me, but pay attention to boundaries and don’t cross the line."

Listening to the man’s warning, Maya said helplessly, "What else can I do?"

Hearing her helpless voice, the man didn’t continue to remind her, but just held her in his arms, patted her back, and soothed her to sleep.

The next morning, when Maya woke up, Liam was no longer by her side. She scratched her hair and scanned the bedroom before raising her right hand to rub her temples.

When she looked at the wall clock, she saw the clock stopped at 9 o’clock, it wasn’t too late, but Liam had already gone. She took a long breath, thinking, "Oh well, saves me from tending to him again."

After showering and dressing, she went to the living room and found a post-it note on the coffee table, which read: [There’s breakfast in the kitchen’s thermal box.]

After reading it, Maya threw the post-it note into the trash, then walked towards the kitchen.

Breakfast was simple - a sandwich, fried egg, and a cup of milk. The breakfast was crudely prepared, presumably by some jerk.

Looking at the breakfast in front of her, Maya laughed dismissively, thinking, "Let him sleep comfortably and he’ll do anything. Looks like I might really be able to talk business with him in bed."

Meanwhile, at Liam’s office, he listened to the sound of knocking at the door, and said particularly high-profile, "Come in."

From his voice, one could tell he was in a particularly good mood. But when he saw the person who entered, his whole face turned unhappy.
