Chapter 117: The Commission vs The Union - Part 3
The daylight loomed heavy with tension. Adam lay on a rooftop, his breathing labored as he tried to steady himself. Blood trickled steadily from a gash in his hand, the pain a dull throb against the rush of adrenaline. From his vantage point, he observed Gus and Hang below, their frustration evident as they scoured the area. Hang, especially, was consumed by rage, his fists clenched and eyes scanning every shadow. He was determined not to let Adam escape.
Clutching his injured hand, Adam pushed himself upright, inhaling deeply to steady his focus. With his uninjured hand, he extended his fingers, channeling his telekinetic abilities. The loose stones scattered across the ground around Gus and Hang began to tremble, then rose into the air as if caught in an invisible vortex.
"Telekinesis attack!" Adam declared, his voice echoing across the deserted surroundings.
Gus felt the shift in the air almost instantly and shouted a warning, "Hang! Watch out for the stones!"
Hang’s attention snapped upward as the swarm of stones hurtled toward them at bullet-like speed. Reacting quickly, he raised his hand, his voice booming with authority. "Absorb!"
The stones veered toward Gus’s hand, dissolving into energy upon impact. However, the barrage was relentless. Some stones bypassed Gus entirely, striking Hang with brutal force. One particularly sharp fragment embedded itself into Hang’s shoulder, drawing a cry of pain.
Grimacing, Hang clutched his injured shoulder. The sharp sting of the wound only fueled his rage. "You can hide all you want," he bellowed, his voice tinged with venom. "But you won’t escape me!"
