Chapter 118: Sona’s Return

Chapter 118: Sona’s Return

Adam sat motionless, his chest rising and falling with labored breaths. His body was heavy, unresponsive.

Adam sat alone, his body slumped and drenched in sweat. His breaths were ragged, shallow, and each one felt like a battle against his uncooperative body.

His arm, wrapped in a blood-soaked cloth, hung uselessly at his side, still numb from his earlier fight with Hang.

The injury, combined with the sheer exhaustion from teleportation attempts, left him on the verge of collapse.

Pain radiated through him like waves crashing against the shore. He had heard Tayo’s desperate call in his mind—her voice filled with fear, urgency, and pain.

"Lord Adam, there are too many vampires here. The Diamond General vampires have found a way to counter my Matter State skill. They’re attacking me relentlessly. I’m holding on, but I can’t last much longer. I need your help... immediately!"

Her words echoed in his head, fueling a storm of worry and helplessness. Adam clenched his jaw, his teeth grinding audibly as he attempted to move.

"Damn it... What’s happening to me?" he muttered under his breath, forcing himself to sit upright. His muscles felt like lead, his injured arm hung limply at his side, wrapped hastily with a blood-soaked cloth—a souvenir from his brutal encounter with Hang. His hand had grown numb, cold as stone, while his other arm trembled with weakness. He groaned, his face twisting in pain as he pushed himself upright with sheer determination.

"I have to reach her. If I don’t..." His thoughts trailed off into a dark void of possibilities.

Adam took a deep, shaky breath. His voice was barely above a whisper as he uttered, "There’s no other way. I have to call her."
