Chapter 116: The Commission vs The Union - Part 2
---
The clash of titans continued in the vast industrial complex, its shadowed corridors reverberating with the hum of distant machinery.
Adam had disappeared from Hang’s immediate sight, prompting the latter to frantically scan his surroundings. The tension was palpable.
Just then, Gus’s voice broke through the chaos. "Hang, look up!" Gus pointed toward the ceiling, his tone laced with urgency. Hang instinctively tilted his head back, and his heart skipped a beat as he spotted Adam descending rapidly, his hand outstretched, glowing with palpable telekinetic energy.
"Telekinesis!" Adam’s voice boomed as a force, immense and concentrated, erupted from his hand. The power rippled outward like an invisible wave, surging toward Hang with crushing intensity.
Before the telekinetic wave could reach Hang, Atlas intervened. Standing several meters away, Atlas raised his hand, summoning a nearly imperceptible barrier around Hang. The wave collided with the barrier, dispersing in all directions like a shattered glass sphere, the raw force dissipating harmlessly into the air.
Adam landed gracefully atop the barrier, his black attire billowing with residual energy. His masked face betrayed no emotion, but his stance spoke volumes—he was ready to dominate.
Atlas, unfazed, extended his hand toward the barrier. With precise control, he manipulated it into a shimmering sphere, trapping Adam within its confines. Adam’s immediate reaction was to assess the structure. Before he could act, Gus sprinted forward, his eyes locked on Adam.
Placing his hand against the barrier, Gus muttered, "Absorb."
The sphere began to shrink as Adam’s body was drawn toward Gus’s outstretched palm. His form seemed to liquefy, merging into Gus’s hand like water being absorbed into a sponge.
