Chapter 579: Water Column Soaring
Soon, the two of them had opened a small egg-sized hole in the belly of the Water Monster, and lake water rushed in through the hole. Watching the water flow in, Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng showed a smile on their faces simultaneously.
"Let’s put in more effort and enlarge its wound a bit," said Jiang Xue. Then, she and Mu Qiancheng once again forcefully dug into the wound.
The Water Monster fell back into the water, and although the wound hurt terribly before, the lake water had washed over it, making it less painful. However, having the lake water in its belly didn’t feel good either.
Before, the water went in through its mouth, but now it’s through the belly; it must feel different.

The Water Monster considered the feasibility of this approach; honestly, letting them wreak havoc in its belly while being powerless was worse than spitting them out and then properly teaching them a lesson.

Logically, it already had plenty of water in its belly, sucking in more would fill it up. So much water inside wasn’t a good thing.

"What on earth is this Water Monster doing?" Jiang Xue muttered to herself, reaching out to tightly grasp Mu Qiancheng’s hand.
She could not be separated from Mu Qiancheng; to live together, to die together. As soon as they held hands, the Water Monster opened its mouth and spat out the water it had sucked in along with Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng.
Surviving by the skin of their teeth, the police officers, upon returning to shore, barely had time to thank the little boy before they saw whirlpools rising again in the lake, leaving them all stunned.
How could this happen? Why has the whirlpool shifted to another location?
"Boss, what’s going on? Wasn’t the whirlpool in the middle of the lake before? Why is it so close to shore now?"
"We’re lucky that as we were just passing by, there wasn’t a whirlpool then, or else we’d be in trouble."
"That’s no whirlpool," Captain Chen suddenly spoke. If he hadn’t guessed wrong, that whirlpool was actually created by the creature in the water.
Just now, the Water Monster tried to eat them; thankfully, the child on the shore intervened, allowing them to escape a calamity and forcing the Water Monster back into the water.
If he hadn’t seen incorrectly, the spot where the Water Monster fell was exactly where the whirlpool formed now.
"Boss, how do you know?"
"Yeah, Boss, if it’s not a whirlpool, then what is it? Could it be the monster’s doing?"
"You’re right, it really is the monster’s doing!" Captain Chen said confidently.
"Really?"
"Nothing impossible."
While they were discussing, the lake surface began to move again, and suddenly a water column shot skyward.
"Oh my!" The crowd was astonished once again, unable to react to the sudden appearance of the water column on the lake surface.
