Chapter 303: Double crossed
"What is going on? " The princess anxiously asked. Her first instinct was to run. Someone immediately grabbed her from behind. "What do you think? There has been a change of plans princess."
The mercenary who had guided them to the ship said, his hold tight on Abrielle making it impossible for her to move. "Please, I don’t know what’s going on, but please let the princess go. She is innocent." Zoltana begged, her voice shaking.
Abrielle was slowly assessing the situation, the person who had a sword against Zoltana’s neck seemed different. They were betrayed, and she immediately understood that fact. All she wanted was to escape, why was it so hard?
What did she do to deserve this? She was exhausted, too exhausted to fight it. Since the plot wanted to kill her so badly, it was better if it just got ahead with it.
Zoltana was in disarray; her aunt Sabrina was still unconscious, and Abrielle was being held captive. She could not escape, could she? The person holding her grabbed her neck and then spun her around, his firm grip twisting her neck so it was difficult to breathe.

Her eyes stung. "I am sorry," her voice was quivering. Zoltana wanted to assure her it truly wasn’t her fault, but she could not breathe. Abrielle felt hopeless, her eyes stuck on Zoltana, maybe she should do it. She didn’t want Zoltana to die.
The look the witch gave her made her stop. It wasn’t worth it; if she did set this ship on fire, they were in the middle of the sea, and she could not swim. If she got rescued from the shipwreck, they were still close to Vitalis, and she would be forced to go back.
