The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband

Chapter 301: Bad news

Smoke and ash filled the air. They tried to keep the sorcerers under control, and it was working. Since they expected this attack. Under the command of two of the best generals in the entire Darconia, the attack was being contained.

A tall figure stood in the flames, his sword dripping with blood, and he looked nothing far from a demon from hell. An attack came towards him but instantly got neutralized as soon as it came in range of him.

"He is a monster," a sorcerer gasped, their attack was not working against Cedric. They knew he was strong but not this strong. The leader of the group had recognized Cedric as a major threat and decided to take him on personally with a group of skilled mages to prevent Cedric from affecting their coordinated attack.

They miscalculated, there was no way they could contain a monster. "We are losing ground," one of the subordinates informed him. "From the reports we have already lost men."

"I know, what is going on?" The leader’s eyes went wide in shock seeing how their strategy was crumbling. "We need to retreat," he said as a matter of fact.

The sorcerers prepared to retreat, but something felt weird; a chill came behind the leader’s back. "It is rude to turn your back on your target." They heard the devil say, and the leader’s eyes went wide. He was in a stage of panic and forgot that Cedric was gaining on them.

How did he get so close? There was a large distance between them it was impossible to cover it in a matter of seconds. "How did you get here so fast?!" His eyes popped out, dread washing over him. The leader didn’t even get an answer because what happened next was horror.

A scream echoed; the sorcerer beside him, head was swiftly cut off in a single swing of Cedric’s sword. "You aren’t that tough," Cedric chimed, after cutting down the person like paper. The leader used all his strength to send a blast at Cedric while trying to escape; he didn’t have to shout the command. The other had started to flee. "RETREAT!!!"

Only if Cedric would make things that easy for them. The blast went off, and not even a scratch appeared on Cedric. The sorcerers started to run. "That was nothing," the first prince shrugged then he glanced at the sorcerers fleeing for their lives in terror

Elias appeared before the prince. "The situation is under control on Lucian’s side and everyone has been evacuated." He informed Cedric. The prince didn’t reply but went straight to attack the next sorcerer. They were powerful mages but that meant nothing to him.

The leader was in horror seeing his men fall effortlessly; Elias sighed, chasing after Cedric. "Please don’t kill them all, Your Highness. We need witnesses." He informed Cedric. He didn’t need to scream because he was certain Cedric heard him.
