The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband

Chapter 296: It wasn’t just games

Cedric, who without a doubt had sensed the ginger close by, was approaching. He wanted to warn her of the sorcerers for her to leave the festival earlier since it seemed their hunch was correct.

Cedric glanced at Elias and Sapphire not bothering about the fact a blade was against the princess’s neck. His gaze was fleeting then he continued walking in. Elias hissed knowing he had more important things to do. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared into the shadows using concealment magic.

Sapphire used the opportunity to run into the hall, tracking them down. She finally spotted Cedric as he was about to approach the balcony entrance when midnight struck.

Her footsteps slowed down, and she was confused as to why Cedric didn’t enter the balcony. It was midnight, she could hear the silence as the clock struck. Cedric’s face was covered with a mask, as always, his gaze dead. No emotions were in them to give her the slightest clue what was going on.

"Elias, get her out of here," Cedric calmly Instructed before Elias once again emerged from the shadows once again to carry out the instructions. Baffled, she could not understand why Cedric was more keen on getting her away than catching his cheating wife.

Sapphire’s face twisted. She stood her ground refusing to be pushed around by a knight that was twice her size. "Chasing me away won’t change the reality we all see." She stated, her voice calm just loud enough for them to hear.

"I don’t have time to listen to your rubbish. You should leave for your good and stop poking your nose into what doesn’t concern you." Elias found Cedric to be rather patient with Sapphire although he guessed the prince was calm because he didn’t want the princess to be alarmed.

He was initially surprised when Cedric showed up and was able to pinpoint the princess’s exact location without a clue. He had known him for a while and was aware of the fact Cedric had remarkable tracking skills.

Elias approached Sapphire, the princess’s red eyes burning with determination to confirm her suspicions. "Rubbish you call it. I know you have eyes to see the signs. You deserve better and I am better. If you have nothing to hide you won’t be standing here preventing me from seeing it. Expose Abrielle for the adulterer she is and choose someone that deserves you." She gave her rich speech seeing this as a good time to pitch out
