The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband

Chapter 297: The one he came to love

He should let go, Alfonso knew this but it felt so hard. He didn’t want to; rather, he could not.

Alfonso thought that she was suffocating in this thing she called a marriage. He wanted to help her, although it felt foolish.

The cold midnight breeze blew across; the Atmosphere was elated. After all, it was the spring festival. After the lanterns were lit the festivities resumed. It was going to be this way until dawn if nothing out of the ordinary didn’t happen.

Abrielle’s eyes went wide when her eyes fell on Cedric’s hilt he was pulling out. The alarm bells rang in her head, Cedric was going to kill Alfonso.

The plot was trying to take control; Alfonso was meant to die today when a nobleman caught him having an affair with his wife, but this time, Alfonso lost interest in his games and got invested in Abrielle.

He actually fell in love with her creating the setting of him being killed because of an affair. Cedric could not kill Alfonso dealing his temper and this wasn’t because she cared if the third prince lived or not but the fact his actions might bounce back to her

Cedric was about to unsheathe his sword, he was blinded by rage and a bitter sense of jealousy.

Her eyes snapped to Alfonso’s hold on her wrist; using all the strength she could muster, she snatched her hand from Alfonso’s grip and then ran to stand between Cedric and Alfonso. "Alfonso, please stop this madness, wake up to reality. There is no way that we can ever be like that." She snapped at him. Her wrist was a bit bruised after she freed herself from his grip.

Cedric’s eyes darkened thinking her intentions were to protect Alfonso. "But Abrielle..." He called out.

"Stop calling her name, coward," Cedric snapped, his hands clenching around the sword. Abrielle’s eyes were locked with his as she bravely, or would he say foolishly, stood in front of him.

"Please just stop," she demanded, "Cedric, I am sorry, this isn’t what it seems like. Let’s just forget about tonight.." she pleaded, trying to appease Cedric. His jaw clenched, she was really dead on him not harming Alfonso.
