"You! You are forcing her! She is the one who wanted to get married to me. Why are you not calling her? Have you locked her somewhere?" Edward could not let go. Olivia was the key to his success. If he lost her, Elio might win.
But more than that, he could not lose to Damon. His mocking smile was irritating.
"You have a vivid imagination, your grace. It is dawn. She is sleeping. She had a late night conversation with the envoys and then I tired her. I could not be cruel enough to wake her up when she looked so innocent while she slept." the man sighed with his eyes full of love and a strange gleam.
"... you tired her!" Diana wanted to be a fool and believe he had given her so many tasks that she felt tired. But his smile did not let her. Color drained from her face and filled with rage.
"How could you! Damon Aykroyd, I would make sure that you would never be titled duke. You have chosen a commer over me. I will never forgive you." Diana shook with rage. She had always been the center of attraction.
She could not even count the number of nobles that wanted to marry her. But she had chosen him! He did not know how lucky he was!
"I do not need your forgiveness, your highness. But your family might need my support." Edward gritted his teeth and held Diana’s hand.
"We have come unannounced. We will be leaving." Damon nodded with a curt bow as Diana struggled in Edward’s grip.
"Brother! Why did you come out this easily? He had insulted both of us. And it was all because of that witch! I will kill her with my own hands." Diana pulled her hands away and kicked a stone but that was not enough to relieve her rage.
