Chapter 132: A Lethal Poison
"Do you like the shop?" Edward held her by her waist as they stood in the salon. A place where women could come and gossip. She had many plans for it. Good enough that she ignored the tingling feeling in her waist.
The man was royalty and held power. What else could she want in her marriage? She was not here for love. Love did not exist anyway. He was her best choice now that Damon had started his plans. She had to keep everyone safe.
"Yes, it is perfect, your highness. I will make sure to increase your contacts from this place." she beamed at him, ignoring the coldness of his eyes and the judgmental look on his face. As if he knew he was saving her from her misery.
She pushed that thought away. If he feels superior by helping her, then he must. He was helping her anyway. She fought the itch in her hands to push his hands away and smiled brightly at him. The man gave her a haughty smirk in return.
"Your highness.." the woman came to sign the contract. Olivia watched with eager eyes as he took the parchment in his hand and started reading it slowly. Too slow to understand that he would not sign it easily.
Olivia’s jaw clenched and her eyes narrowed yet the smile on her face did not falter. Of course, there was nothing free in this world.
"His majesty is not so satisfied with his highness recently." she started earning his attention. He closed the parchment and looked at the staff standing behind him.
With a wave of his hand, the room was emptied. The last staff closed the door behind her. Finally, Edward let go of her waist. He sauntered in the room and sat on one of the large leather chairs.
She loved those chairs, the large sofa and glass tables too. The room had one wall made of glass and a lot of book racks and musical instruments were adorning the wall.
