Chapter 417: Belong To A Monster
Nat knew the question was like a hanging sword on her head. One wrong reply and it would take her life.
This child! Her first child belonged to that monster. Her hands reach for her belly instinctively. If not for the report, there was no sign of her being pregnant. She looked thinner and gaunt. Her eyes were sunken and though the marks on her skin were fading, Nora knew better that all this had left a mark on her mind, her soul that would never leave.
Nora felt pain. She never wanted another girl to suffer her fate.
"I have told you you should not do this." Nora whispered in a low voice.
The girl finally looked at him with a wry smile on her face.
"And I have told you I will do it whether you help me or not! This man had ruined my family. He had killed my father and destroyed my brother because he wanted to marry my brother’s girlfriend. I had nowhere to go. If not for you... but I did not do this for you or anyone else. I did this for my peace. Even if i live a long life, it would have been meaningless. But now, even if I die, I will drag him to hell with me.." her voice was thin and feeble but it had an insurmountable amount of determination which made her look strong.
"And this child.."
"I am not sure." the girl accepted honestly. She did not want to act strong in front of Nora. For some reason, Nora had already told her what Chris could do and if Nora had endured everything herself, her prediction was spot on.
Even the sequence of the acts and the aftermath after the torture was same. She stared at Nora with bare emotions.
