"Chris Benard! This is my last offer. If you disagree, I will not buy your shares again until you offer them to me at market price." her voice had a hint of warning. Aiden stiffened at that.
They need cash inflow. They need help and the new company indeed sounds promising. And it was for free. Even if she did not offer it, he still wanted that double the price.
He looked at Chris with a look of urgency. But Chris did not even look back at him. He was staring at Nora as if they both were clasing their ego.
"You are threatening me?" he spat those words with venom in his voice but Nora just shrugged.
"I am offering you a deal, Mr Benard. But you do not appreciate me. I would rather invest the amount in my new company then. A good businessman knows which deal would be beneficial for him." she sighed and then looked at Alric. "I am sorry, I have thought... forget it."
Though she did not say anything, Chris could feel his cheek burning. She was apologizing for bringing Alric here. She was apologizing that she forced Alric to waste his time on a fool like Chris.
