Chapter 169: He Must Not Return
"Slam" Alex kicked the table hard. The vase fell over the ground and smashed. Its water spilled and touched his feet making his fury ignited.
"Nora is using you from the start. She wanted a strong backer to stand against us, her family.
And you, like a fool, stood for her! How many times have you saved her from us? You even used your name to protect her when my father had tossed her out of the school. She must be mocking you for your foolishness when she spends time with victor." Alex closed his eyes and covered his ears while gritting his teeth.
After the betrayal of his family, he had stopped trusting people. Most of the boys approach him only because they were sent by Alric to keep a watch over him as if he was some kind of beast that needed to be chained.
He had stopped making friends. He had stopped so many things. How long had it been since he had felt he could show his real self to someone. Though she was not bought by Alric, she was using him too.
Alex laughed mockingly. "I was a fool in your eyes all this time and here I was, ready to change myself completely for you." his hands curled into a fist and he punched the wall in front of him.
The wall did not have any damage but his fingers burnt red. He had used so much power. But he did not feel that pain. He was numb. He could only see the pictures where Nora was sitting on Victor’s lap and kissing her ferociously.
He did not even know if her betrayal hurt him more or those pictures.
But those pictures are with Penny. She would misuse him. And he had not warned Nora. he took a step toward the door when he realized what he was doing and cursed.
