Chapter 168: Play Games
"I never knew you could play football. You are joining our team." it was not even a question at this point.
Nora looked at the distance. Her eyes met Penny. The girl was sitting there with a grim look on her face. At most, she looked exasperated, but the hatred was not evident in her eyes. When their eyes met, Penny smiled at Nora instead. She stood up and left as if a boring show had ended. Nothing was worth her attention now.
Nora’s gaze narrowed. She looked at distant lucy. She was already talking to Adam. The plan was going smoothly. She had achieved great success, which is why she was feeling so uneasy then.
"Nora!"
"I am sorry, coach. I have an inter school competition that day. As you know, I could not participate in both. It will affect my performance." she shook her head. The coach went grim. His face was dark and ugly. The players did not know how to react. This was the first time someone had refused a coach. Most of the time, s[portsman die to get a good position in the game. Yet.. Nora was refusing it.
"Think about it again, I will wait for your reply tomorrow. Now leave." he asked them to leave, but he left instead.
"Are you sure you do not want to participate? You play well. It will be such a waste!" Chris took a step closer to her and it took all in her to remind herself that he was not the Chris she hated.
"I am not refusing to play. I can play anytime you call for me. I am only informing you that I will not be in the city that day. So I can not participate in the match." the boy sighed and nodded in understanding.
"Sad! The empty spot would be taken by Jamie then." he mumbled, earning a glare from five members.
