Chapter 137: Lessons I Taught
More students came and the room filled. "I am dimming the lights so that everyone can concentrate on the screen." Penny’s voice sounded better now. But her eyes were still red and she stared at Nora with longing eyes as she spoke.
Since everyone was looking at Penny, they noticed her actions and sighed in their hearts. A few of them even felt that she was being absurd. She should just ignore her sister.
But they soon forgot about it as Penny sounded serious and gave Kate instruction on the number of the file.
At Penny’s instructions, Kate pressed a few buttons and language questions started to appear on the large screen that had covered the whole wall.
Each question was clear enough for them to read and make notes. Though Penny had promised that she would distribute a copy, they still wanted to make notes tonight.
"Kate, you have already arranged everything well. Why don’t you go and eat something? My mother had sent the best snacks." Kate stared at the table of snacks. It was almost empty. If she waited..
"But the screen!" Kate looked at the screen uneasily. "It is alright. This test paper would continue for twenty minutes. It would be a waste if you do not utilize that time. After all, you have not eaten anything after waking up. I would have come with you, but I still need to explain a few points." Penny sighed as her face looked guilty.
How could she even doubt such a kind girl? Kate felt guilty too.
"It is alright. Then I will be back soon." She licked her lips and ran toward the snacks table.
