Chapter 99: I Am Not Leaving
"Defamation!" Sophia looked at Nora with a gaze saying you are ridiculous.
"Defamation? Have you ever checked your social media accounts? They are full of dirt. From cheating cases to seducing boys, what have I not read there? You have turned into a celebrity just by that kind of news. Do not make me laugh." That was one of the reasons that teachers did not have a good impression of her and they agreed easily.
Somewhere they had a doubt that she could have cheated. Her aunt provoked her with a gaze full of hatred and ridicule but Nora just smiled.
"I thought you were still playing the role of my guardian. Have you given up on that?" this vicious girl! Sophia felt her cheeks burning.
"Being a parent is not a flowery path! If I could not teach you your mistake, how would I qualify to be your guardian?" she asked back with a frown. She did not care if others believed or not. If Nora believed it or not. They were all her paid dogs, why did she need to care about their viewpoint.
"So the case is settled." It was the principal who cut them. The way they were looking at each other, Kai was afraid that a storm was building and his school was dragged in.
"We apologize Nora. someone put the slip in our pockets and we suspected that it was you. We should not have slandered you without knowing the truth." Nora looked at them with a ridiculing smile on her face. Who would believe that they are apologizing? They were only trying to wash their name by using her.
Ha!
"Then an investigation would be more appropriate. This time it is not for me but you. You are my roommate, I do not want your name to be slandered. I will do my best to find the culprit for you." Nora placed her hands on Lisa’s shoulders. Lisa could not breath for a second. The cold smile on Nora’s face was like a ghost reaper looking at her. She would not make it alive.
"That is not necessary. We do not want the school’s image to suffer because of her. Since the principal had already decided to drop the case, we should not make things hard for them." Linda was the one to speak. She held Lisa’s arm as if passing her strength. Nora tilted her head and smiled at her.
"Is that so? I did not hear him saying that. I must have missed it." her smile widened. She had still not called Mr West and refused him to come here.
"Nora, do not go too far." Sophia warned only to get a helpless smile in return.
