Chapter 97: Truth Doesn’t Matter
"Do you have any proof?" asked Nora with a condescending look on her face but the teachers nodded seriously as if that could be the case. Nora frowned. Something was wrong but when she noticed the smile on her aunt’s face, she realized. It was all planned.
It did not matter if they could not execute the first step of the plan and found a cheating note with her. As long as they want, she would be accused of cheating. They held power while she held nothing.
"Can we check cameras and confirm who had passed notes to each other?" it was a vain effort as Miss Tyler shook her head.
"The cameras are under repair. Nora, if you confess things would be a lot better." she added when Nora looked hard at all of them.
They all were pressuring her. Knowing well that Nora was a weak girl. As long as she would be pressured, she would break down and then they could accuse her for anything. When she would have nowhere to go, she would give up. After all, even after rebirth Nora had continued the image of being a weakling to show the true face of her family.
"It is alright. As her guardian, I apologize to all of you and assure you that Nora would not do it again. To show her sincerity, she would take her name back from the competition and even compensate these two girls." her aunt stood up grandiosity and offered.
Linda and Lisa immediately wiped their tears and thanked the woman. Nothing was making sense to Nora now. They had no proof against her yet they were so shameless!
"That is alright. After all, my Nora was a mistake. Here, this is a small compensation." She even took out two packets and passed it to Lisa and Linda in front of everyone. Nora’s face burnt. A dark and sinister smile appeared on her face.
Just when her case was about to be dismissed, she turned to meet the eyes of the helpless principal. His eyes looked disappointed. But when he noticed Nora standing there with a calm face full of ridicule, he frowned. Should she not be despaired!
Nora shook her head as if she was answering his silent question. She took out her phone and dialed a number.
"Since you all are confused, a help would be better." her words frowned the teacher standing beside her.
