Chapter 96: Not A Coincidence
"Nora, the teacher is calling for you in the principal’s office." Everyone turned to look at Nora. She was like a rising star. No day would pass when her name was not heard in the class.
"The class used to be so peaceful, ever since Nora had returned everyone around her was suffering." whispered someone with a frown.
"Yes, first her sister and now her roommates. Everyone around her was surrounded by accusations. It could not be a coincidence." Everyone had heard Lisa and Linda accusing Nora but in the end they suffered. Only a fool would believe that it was so simple.
"Ha! Just because she was accused and dared to retaliate, was it her mistake? She should just bow down and accept everything?" asked someone only to get glares in the class.
Nora did not care about any of them. She knocked on the principal’s room.
"Come in." five of the teachers teaching in her class were all present. The principal smiled at her and offered her a seat.
"Nora, two students were found cheating in your class. Both of them accused you of having trapped them. You have put the slip in their clothes at night when they were sleeping. Do you have anything to say about it?" his voice did not have a hint of accusation but their eyes were piercing her.
"Their words are enough to call me here?" she smiled without a hint of annoyance but her calm question dumbfounded them.
"We have only called you to discuss it with you. It is not like we are accusing you. But do you not find it strange that both of them have accused you?" Nora’s lips curled slightly. Truth fails in front of power. The teachers were not dumb to not see the truth, but they did not care about an abandoned girl like her but they wanted to satisfy the vanity of a rich girl like Nora.
"Is it not common that cheaters put the blame on someone else? They are friends, when one blamed me, the other thought of that idea too." Her voice was so soft and calm that a few interpreted it as her fear but the principal’s eyes narrowed. He remembered her last offer. She could help him with a better career.
"Your guardians had been called Nora. your answers did not match your last performance and many students complained that you were cheating in the exams. We have to check it properly." he explained with a helpless look.
