"Adam is older to you. Though he is a genius and completed his studies early, he is already in the job while you are still working. You should pay more attention to your studies." Alric spoke with such a serious face that Nora frowned. Was he trying to inform her that she was not serious enough?
"I am going to rank first this year." she replied icily as she stood up. She did not want another person in her life who thought that she was good for nothing.
Alric had a stunned expression when she left. Did the girl just give him a cold shoulder? But he had already seen the change in Alex’s record after meeting her and he had called her to give her a bonus.
"Forget it! If you do not want it." He glared at the closed door and studied the reports again. But then he pushed the pen away and picked up his mobile phone.
"Hello, i want you to take over the company without changing their policies and management instead of buying only its shares." he threw the mobile on the side and started working again.

Nora booked a taxi and reached Victor’s house. She was prepared for cold gazes and a narrowed look but she was surprised when the staff received her warmly.
"Oh dear! Did my son call you for work when you are injured?" a woman came out of the kitchen with a motherly smile on her face. She was still wearing aprons and mitts as she looked at Nora with worry. "That child needs a scolding. Emma brought a hot chocolate cup for the little girl." The maid hurriedly left while the lady pulled Nora on the sofa.
"I apologize but my son is as insensitive as her father. You should have refused." Nora felt strange looking at the worry in the woman’s eyes. They didn’t even know each other. So, she looked away.
