Chapter 82: Love Chicken Soup
"More than that, would it not be better to make me a partner? What if I have more ideas for the future?" she lied as she smiled at the man. His pen moved between his fingers while he looked at Nora with a narrowed gaze.
"You are too young to be a partner. And kids could be flippant. I do not have patience to deal with them." Though he said so, he could see how sincere and calculative she was. Her every word held a value one could not ignore.
"Oh, i apologize if i gave that feeling, sir. But let’s leave my age for a second and talk about business." she smiled professionally and opened a document in her phone, "your company had covered forty percent market share in the gaming business till last year. But this year Mystic Gaming company has given you quite a competition and ten percent of your market is already stolen by them, bringing you to thirty percent while they have already reached twenty percent."
"From the last three months, every game they have launched has been a great success and trust me, if it continues you are going to suffer a fatal blow." In the past, you have already suffered from it and your health has deteriorated too. Victor had to take over the company at a young age and made a few games but they all lost to Mystic. If not for this game, you would have bankrupted.’ she added in her mind.
"But with this game, you can return to the business and defeat them. Then we can plan to buy a few of their programmers and they will lose forever. But indecisiveness can cost you a long term loss." She passed the document to him and his eyes widened when he read the comparative sheet of both companies for the past two years.
Not only had she recorded the name of games but she had even added the reasons for mystic success. He had already seen the game she had designed. It not only had good action and attractive fighting styles with group battle and weapons but it also had a strong storyline. Something they were lacking. That was why Mystic company had targeted them.
His hunch that she had not designed the game became stronger as she kept reading the document and till the end his eyes shook.
"So, what do you think about it?" she asked but there was no hurry in her voice as if she knew that she had already won the case.
"Miss Nora, you are talking like your game has already earned success. I am at the crucial point of my business. What if this game proved fatal to me?" he pressed returning her phone to her. He had expected her to give excuses or boost the game again but her lips only curled as she leaned on the chair and took the phone from his hands.
He had seen the smile so many times on the faces of shrewd businessmen. On his face too. But to see it on a young girl who should be clueless about the harshness of the world gave him chills.
"If that is the case, then I would take the lost amount as a loan and I would pay it back to you with interest." The confidence in her voice shook him and he paused.
"That..."
