Chapter 80: Not Friends
"....." silence fell. Everyone looked at the woman with a complex look but she still did not notice it. She snatched her child and hugged her as if she was cherishing her. Only when she calmed down did she realize what she had done. But she had no regrets. If her child would have been operated without a reason, then she could not have forgiven herself.
She kissed her child and closed her eyes. After a whole minute she finally looked at all of them.
"I have done this for my personal grievances. It had nothing to do with anyone. I have called the reporters and told them that I have good news for them and asked them to come here. From the start to the end, everything was planned by me because I do not like this hospital. How they try to be grand and caring when in reality no one cares." She took another deep breath and passed the child to her worried husband, "you can take me to the police chief or anything you want to do now. I do not care." her voice did not have a hint of hesitation as she looked at Nora instead of Alric.
Before she was too worried, but now that she was thinking straight, she realized it was all planned by Nora from the start to the end.
"He was not taken to the operation. Was he?" she asked, looking at Nora instead of the doctor. Nora smiled as she shook her head.
"It was as the previous doctor said, your child was only sleeping. I am sorry." The woman shook her head. They were shrewd but she did not blame them.
"I have underestimated everything." she sighed and then finally looked at Alric. "Do not include my husband and child, they are innocent." Alric looked at the kid and then at the woman. The staff came forward and held the woman and took her away. The woman did not struggle. She bowed her head in front of Alric for thanking him and then left with his eyes closed with remorse.
Nora was surprised that Alric let go of the man and the child. Slowly the crowd started to dissipate.
Adam walked closer to Nora. "how did you know about all this? When you messaged me, the woman had just started shouting." he looked at her with confusion. Nora finally took his gaze away from Alric and smiled at Adam.
