Chapter 178: IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT? YOU LOOK OFF
In the moving car, Dove sat quietly beside the sleeping Gavi, whose head now she rested on her lap, so he could sleep more comfortably.
And by the looks of it, it was quite very evident that her mind was not at all present there. She looked outside through the window, her mind absent and eyes not focused anywhere particular.
Thorough the rear view mirror, Dante glanced at the woman sitting at the backseat, and his complicated expressions filled his face.
He pressed his lips together, looking at the absent minded Dove, and a surge of uncomfortable feeli9ngs filled his heart and mind.
His heart was actually clawing inside to know what had they been talking there. Observing that man, Noah, himself as well as the observation that his men had brought him, it was clear that, that man had some unsaid feelings for his Dove.
And being as man himself, Dante could see from a man’s perspective that Noah did not at all just see Dove has his little sister, but more like a woman.
And now that he had taken her away to talk to her privately, not involving him in whatever they were speaking about, because obviously it was not something related to work, Dante started feeling restless.
But for some reason, the tycoon Dante Lancaster was having weird feelings. For some reason he was hesistating. Was he feeling scared? Of Dove? For what she might think of he asked her about it? Would she be angry? Because looking at her, though she doesn’t very much look in a bad mood. But whatever it was, it was definitely not a good one.
Anyway, after contemplating after a whole couple of minute, Dante just decided to ask anyway. What was there to be scared anyway. They were now friends.
He cleared his throat quite audibly and looked at her reflection through the rear view mirror. And when he saw that he was still unable to capture her attention, Dante called her name softly, "Dove?"
Dove, who was deep in her thoughts, blinked out of it when she heard her name being called by him, and she looked at the driver’s seat, with a soft hum in question.
