Chapter 152: Death wish (1)
Annalise leaned against a wall outside the manor trying to calm her anger toward Logan. She was yet to connect how him seeing her in a bush looking for snakes had led to him liking her. So many things did the opposite of what she wanted and when she wasn’t trying to do it.
Annalise could only hope that he would snap out of the little fantasy romance he created between them or she would find a good rock to help him forget all about it.
Her days would not be peaceful if Logan kept seeking her out, trying to make her like him. It wasn’t going to happen even if they were the last two people in the world. She would kill him so she would be the only person left alive.
Annalise used her shoe to play with the long grass that was yet to be cut by the gardener. Her mind could not move away from her spar against Rafael. It was exciting and she wished to do it again, but this time, without her father being brought up. There were only so many lies she could create and keep up with.
’I should tell Thomas that I sparred with Rafael and watch him freak out,’ she smiled.
One thing she enjoyed was seeing Thomas lose his mind. He acted like a mother hen often when it came to her.
Annalise looked up, knowing those familiar footsteps coming her way. She pushed herself off the wall and held out Rafael’s helmet to him. "I’ve wiped it off, but I can get a piece of cloth to shine it," she said.
"There is no need for that," Rafael answered, taking the helmet from her. "I will call a draw on our little fight."
Annalise frowned. "But you clearly won."
