Chapter 25: Night ring issue
Lucy got on the roof, her eyes darted around, and she finally found the person that was attacking—a young man with a bow in his hand.
The man looked at her as she stood there. He pulled out a bow and strung it, and without a moment of hesitation, he fired.
Whooosh
The arrow shot through the air, but Lucy caught it. She snapped it in two and looked at the man with a gold stare.
"You attacked my master. Your death will not be a pleasant one," she said.
The man frowned when he saw her catch the arrow easily. He clicked his tongue and ran away, rushing through the alley as fast as he could.
He made several turns and corners, and then he looked back and around, making sure that she wasn’t there.
When he was certain, he hunched over, hands on his knees. He took heavy and deep breaths.
"This plan better work," he muttered under his breath.
Suddenly, he felt a cold bloodlust. He looked up and saw two glowing red eyes. Lucy found him extremely easily.
"How, how did you—?" He tried to speak, but before he could finish the sentence, a dagger came flying at a crazy speed and stabbed through his shoulder.
"Arghhhhhh!" he cried in pain. He tried to pull out the dagger, but it went deeper the more he tried. His groan of pain got louder. He collapsed to his knee.
