Chapter 24: Feels good to win
The man was a player, so he could see the level of Grey, and so when he saw that he was a measly level one, he felt insulted, and his anger spiked.
"Are you trying to insult me? I’ll make you regret that," he bellowed, flexing his muscles. They glowed a faint red. He punched his fists together, the metal sound echoing as he rushed forward like a bull toward a bullfighter.
Grey, on the other hand, was calm. He took a deep breath and lifted his fists up into a boxing stance. One foot to the back and one foot to the front.
He watched, waiting for the man’s first attack. The man stomped the ground hard and threw the first punch, right hand straight for the face. He smiled, thinking it was over in one punch, but his fist met air as Grey leaned back and to the side, dodging the blow.
Grey kicked forward immediately, covering the distance in a second, and then he launched—a right hook—right into the face of the man. Flesh and skin jiggled, a pure look of disbelief on his face as his head flew to the side and pulled his body along.
But the man didn’t go down. He stretched out a leg and planted it into the ground, leaving a crack there. He used it to stop himself from falling.
"Arghhhhhhhh!" he roared and came up with a powerful left punch, putting all his strength into it, his rage already driving him.
Grey read the punch perfectly. He stepped back, then the fist passed right in front of him, and then he grabbed it, turned his body, and used the momentum of the punch to hurl the man over his shoulder and into the ground.

Zane watched the fight in shock, his eyes wide open. ’He is pretty good in combat. I guess that makes sense if he was forced to fight, and now that he has the strength of a vampire, he is capable of a lot more,’ Zane thought.
