Xing felt weak, physically and emotionally. The one stomping in her feet mercilessly used his elbow to push her away and she fell in the floor.
"Such insolence", he mumbled not knowing how his each word and action is butchering the heart of the one he swore to protect and held close to him even when the heavens stood against them and he walked away from her. For him, she looked no different than any other woman who’d try to get a man by any means necessary.
Xing looked at the gloomy skies outside and didn’t know what happened but there seemed to be heavy winds outside showing her mood. She didn’t even knew her mood is the one affecting the weather.
"How are you feeling? ", Zhu Rong smirked at Xing who was on her knees but Xing did not have the mood to listen to her provocation and she tried to stand up but her legs gave out.
Xing felt like her heart was being ripped out from her and there were endless tears flowing from her eyes. She pushed herself to stand up but tripped in her robes and fell face first in the floor but Chenglei didn’t even looked at her. He would have caught her if it was before... But she didn’t mind that... All she had in her mind was to get to Chenglei.
If he looks me in the eye, he’ll remember me! If he hears my voice, he’ll remember my love. I could hear his voice even in the Netherworld. He’d be able to remember me too!
Haru and the Emperor standing by the side felt the need to stop her but they were too shocked to move. He passed the pitiful looking Xing as if she was air and got near Shihong who looked burnt with the lightning that hit him and stood there for an entire minute in deep thoughts.
