LEGEND OF THE GOLDEN TIGRESS

Chapter 316: Her Heart Got Ripped To Shreds

Xing who was pulled back to her own body felt like wanting to puke her guts out the moment she woke up. But what she saw surprised her more and her nauseating sensation vanished immediately.

The moment she got her senses back, she felt a stinging pain in her entire body and she realised she is still in Chenglei’s warm embrace as she expected. Her man wouldn’t have just let her go and it brought a smile to her lips.

And as she squinted her eyes to look at Chenglei, she saw that deep pool of glassy emerald eyes which was surrounded by an awful dark circle, looking at her with her with extreme joy, surprise and relief all at the same time.

"Xing!", his thin lips that started to curl upwards called her name as if it is the sweetest thing in the world.

"My Xing! I’m glad",

He whispered in her ears hugging her close to him. His voice that was always gentler than the breeze that touches the buds of the Jasmine in the evening, didn’t fail to make her heart bloom with happiness as usual.

How could him just calling my name seems like the greatest song ever written in the history of mortals and why does it never fails to move my heart?

"My Prince!"

Xing still on the floor in Chenglei’s embrace, uttered with her voice uplifting as the song of the gentle bird that would lift one’s spirit up.

I’ve settled everything, my Prince! Finally! We are free to be together as we both wished for... But why do you look so haggard? Did I scare you? I’m sorry! But no more... No more of this!

Before she knew it a teardrop rolled out from the corner of her eyes. Not a tear of resentment or a tear of sorrow but a tear of hope, a tear of joy! The tear that containes her future hopes!

She stretched her hand towards her man’s cheek that gleamed in a beautiful hue of red as it reflected the setting rays of sun.
