Chapter 28: Losing Control
Sloan
After those words left his mouth, rage engulfed me and a loud ringing sound took place in my ear. I didn’t realize when I moved or what happened next, but when the haze cleared from my eyes a little, I had my father pinned against the nearest piller, my hand tightly gripping his throat. I was also letting out low growls.
Hos dare he threaten to hurt the boy? To kill my human? I’d kill him before he does that!
My father was glaring at me, his teeth gritted. He didn’t look panicked, he looked enraged, the veins in his forehead throbbing with how angry he clearly is. His eyes were glowing red, a sign of his beast coming to the surface, and I knew my eyes were also glowing right now.
"Let go of me right now." He bit out angrily but I only tightened my hold on his throat.
"You’ll not kill the boy. You’ll not harm him. Ever." I bit out, anger flaring through every inch of my insides.
At the back of my mind, I registered sparks flaring through my body, and I realized that my father had a taser pushed against the back of my throat.
He usually carried this special brand of taser on him in order to keep me in line and remind me to never step out of line with him. The last time he used it on me was years ago, and I had writhed on the ground till the shocks stopped. However right now, I couldn’t even feel the effects of the shocks, too enraged to be affected by it.
I still had my hand tight around my father’s throat. It wouldn’t be easy to kill him, he was very powerful in his human and beast form, but I was stronger than him, and I needed him to be reminded of that. I might still be under his roof, but it’s only because I’m being blackmailed to do that. If not, I’d have moved far away from here a long time ago.
"Let go of your father, Sloan." My grand father’s soft voice pierced through the haze of anger around my brain as a warm hand settled on my shoulder. I instantly tensed because again, I hated being touched.
