My Ex-Husband Begged Me to Take Him Back

Chapter 248: Spy camera

Lydia’s lips tightened, and her expression turned unreadable. "Mind your own business, Erica," she said curtly. "Don’t mess with my matters."

Erica’s eyes sparkled with mischief. "You are so secretive," she said, stepping closer. "But I’m your daughter. Don’t you think I should know about the big moves you’re making?"

Lydia’s lips thinned. "Mr. Blair is none of your concern...And as for the land, it’s business—something you wouldn’t understand. You should think about how to convince Dylan to let you work at the company again."

Erica swallowed, her boldness momentarily wavering.

Lydia picked up her bag. "I’m going out for a party. I won’t be returning until late. Don’t go anywhere."

With that warning hanging in the air, she exited the room, her high heels clicking against the polished floor.

Erica stomped her feet as she glared at her departing form. "You are going out, but you want me to stay home. This is not going to happen. I’ll also have fun. But before that, I need to settle down some important matters."

She also left the house in a hurry. Just as she got into her car and started the engine, her phone buzzed, the screen flashing with an unknown number.

She scowled, snatching the phone off the passenger seat. "Who is this?" she barked.

"Temper, temper," a smug voice drawled from the other end. "Who got under your skin this time?"

Erica recognized the voice. Her mood, already on edge, darkened further. "Why are you calling me?"
