Chapter 249: Are you jealous?
"Do you know who that man is?" Ava asked.
Dylan ran his mind. He had a feeling that he had seen that man somewhere, but he couldn’t remember where he had seen him. His frustration was palpable, and Ava’s curiosity only deepened.
"She seemed quite close to him," she remarked. She couldn’t shake the image of Lydia’s bright smile and the way she held that man’s hands. "For a moment, I thought he might be her boyfriend. Do you think that’s possible?"
Dylan opened his mouth to respond, but before he could say a word, a voice chimed in from behind. "Whose boyfriend?"
Both Dylan and Ava looked up in unison to see Lola standing there, her mischievous smile lighting up her face. "I didn’t know you were bringing Dylan," Lola teased, her gaze shifting between the two. "What a surprise."
"Lola, you’re finally here!" Ava exclaimed, jumping to her feet and wrapping her friend in a warm hug. "It’s so good to see you."
Lola hugged her back, leaning in to whisper, "What’s going on? You are with Dylan? Have you two... reconciled?"
"It’s a long story," Ava whispered back. "I’ll tell you later."
They broke apart, but their hands remained clasped.
"I missed you," Lola said.
"I missed you too."
