The call ended. It was not Lin Wan ‘Er. It was Yu Yu. After all, she was too young to handle something like this. Lin Wan ‘Er tossed the phone to Jiang Cheng and continued to drive as if nothing had ever happened. Soon, the phone rang again. It was an unknown number.
Jiang Cheng thought about it and chose to answer it.
“Hello. Where are you?” It was a male voice, sounding scared. “I’m here. Why… Can’t I see any of you?” It was Director Qi. “The hospital is so dark. Did the lights go out? Strange. Why didn’t anyone tell me anything?” Director Qi continued on his own.
“Have you returned to the hospital?” Jiang Cheng asked.
“What are you talking about?” Director Qi was annoyed. “Didn’t you tell me to come back to the hospital because you’ve solved everything and you need me to pay you? I’m warning you. Don’t play tricks on me.” Director Qi was furious. “Unless you annihilate everything, I will not give you a single cent. I’ll even report you to the police.”
“Shut your mouth!” Jiang Cheng asked. “Tell me. Did Kui Yi call you back to the hospital?”
“Yes…” Director Qi seemed to realise something was wrong. He asked, “Why don’t you know that?”
Of course, Jiang Cheng wouldn’t know that. Why would the travellers call him back to the hospital? Once Director Qi died, the travellers would perish.
“Hmm?” Before Jiang Cheng could say anything, Director Qi seemed to have spotted something.
