Chapter 805 - 805: Martin goes to investigate
Wilderness
The Governors were looking at Head Harold. They didn't know how to hide from him.
Head Harold was not an ordinary Beast Tamer; he was someone who had fought countless battles. He could see through their lies.
So they need to be honest.
Martin took a deep breath before saying, "Head Harold, we did find something. But I'm afraid I can't share the details with you."
Hearing that, Orion and Leon became quiet. They were speculating that it was man-made. This had been suggested by Martin.
Even he didn't have any evidence yet, so it was a bit risky to divulge the information.
Harold sighed. He could tell that they had found something, and he was not expecting them to actually say anything. He had come here to confirm one thing: that they were safe for now.
He then asked, "I'm going to ask only one thing. Do we need to be prepared?"
Hearing that, Orion and Leon turned towards Martin. They were afraid they couldn't answer the question.
Harold's eyes flickered. He guessed a few things. Usually, Orion was the one who took the lead because he was the senior among them.
Yet, he was looking towards Martin. It showed that Martin knew something.
Martin then said, "Yes, we need to be ready."
He looked into Head Harold's eyes. He thought Head Harold would ask him a follow-up question, but to his surprise, it didn't happen.
"Thanks, that's all I need. I'm taking my leave," Harold said.
He then nodded to the other two governors before leaving. Once he had gone from the place, Leon asked, "Is it okay?"
Martin said, "The senior knows the risk. He wanted to be prepared beforehand. I don't think he will tell others. Let's just focus on the situation at hand. I may be wrong, so we need to get evidence first."
"What are you going to do?" Orion asked.
"You guys stay here. I'm going to go deeper and check," Martin replied.
"What? Are you out of your mind?" Orion asked.
"If something happens to you, how will we know? It's risky. Why don't we inform the Human Alliance? They will send help," Leon said.
He thought Martin was taking an unnecessary risk. There was no need to go deeper into the wilderness.
Martin shook his head. He had a feeling that a threat was imminent. If it was man-made, the culprit wouldn't wait; they might trigger another Beast Tide.
"One of you is going back to the city. If I find something, I will return." After saying that, Martin crossed the border. He entered the territory of the unexplored region.
As a Tier-8 Beast Tamer, the region was still not safe for him. He didn't want to drag the others in, so Martin decided to investigate quickly.
Orion and Leon could only watch from a distance.
When Martin disappeared from sight, Orion decided to stay and guard the border. He said, "Leon, go back to the city. Someone needs to be there."
"Okay," Leon replied.
"Don't worry, he is not a fool. He will be back," Orion said to him.
Leon nodded his head before leaving. He knew someone had to be in the city. Orion then landed on the ground and sat on a big branch of a shade tree.

Red Moon Chamber
The following day, Jeremy Night woke up early. He got out of bed and started his morning routine.
He spent one hour on his routine. After finishing, he entered the practice room.
He turned on the switch, and a rich natural energy filled the room. Jeremy sat down and started his breathing method.
His technique was the Inner Healing Method. As the natural energy entered his body, he began guiding it along the proper route.
His greedy cells began to absorb the natural energy. He continued to repeat the process. As long as his accumulation was sufficient, he would achieve a breakthrough.
He didn't know whether he would get a breakthrough today, but he still continued with his practice.
One hour later, Jeremy ended the session. He stood up and turned off the switch. Once he did that, the natural energy faded.
Then, he took out his katana blade and started practicing. He rarely used the "Blade One" move, but he knew the move was powerful and wanted to perfect it.
He spent one hour on it. Then, he switched to the Star Fist. He could feel the tempering of his veins and internal organs.
He was happy that his body was being strengthened.
He spent another hour on this practice. The "Star Fist" was another powerful move he rarely used, and he didn't know when he would need it next.
For some reason, he thought about the Beast Tide. Governor Martin was standing at the border; Jeremy didn't know whether he had returned or not.
He then thought of Head Harold. He believed Head Harold knew something about it.
He decided to see him later. He had a feeling that the threat was not over yet. He then collected his thoughts and started practicing a new technique.
It was a Starlight Thread move. He still had to perfect it. He controlled the starlight thread; in the blink of an eye, it covered his index finger.
The length of the thread was longer than before. He tried to bend it as he wished. The thread bent at a right angle. He tried to make it curve without breaking it, but that was even harder.
Time passed.
After spending enough time on the new concept, he walked out of the room and went to take a shower.
Twenty minutes later, he changed into his uniform. After getting ready, he left the room to meet Head Harold.
He didn't know whether Head Harold would tell him anything, but he wanted to try.
Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to practice with a clear mind.
A few minutes later,
He stood infront of Head Harold office. He showed hesitation. He don't know whether the old man would be angry or not.
