STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Chapter 804 - 804: Harold knows it as well

Wilderness

Jeremy stared into the beast's eyes. He was waiting to see which one was going to attack next.

Roar!

To his surprise, they let out a roar before fleeing from the place. In the blink of an eye, they disappeared into the woods.

"Phew!"

Jeremy heaved a sigh of relief. He was not afraid of the battle. It was just that he didn't want to encounter a Beast Tide now.

He then shifted his gaze towards the corpses. His eyes glinted with a gleam. He walked up to the corpses. He collected them into his storage ring.

After doing that, he didn't waste time. He rushed towards the city. He wanted to report to the higher-ups.

It may not have appeared that serious, but the wind wolves made him rethink. He didn't know why they were here.

20 minutes later,

He saw the city walls. He didn't stop for a second. He continued to run until he reached the city gate.

He saw patrol guards and captains doing their duty. For a second, he thought of alerting them. He then shook his head.

He had seen Governor Martin earlier. He thought that they might have their own plans, so he decided not to tell them.

He then showed his badge before going inside the city. He approached a cab driver and told the driver to drop him at the Red Moon Chamber.

Swoosh!

The driver agreed. The car departed from the place a few minutes later.

Jeremy watched the city through the window. The once-damaged buildings were now rebuilt. He didn't know what would happen if another beast tide struck.

20 minutes later,

The car landed in front of the organization. Jeremy stepped out and paid the fee to the driver. Then he turned around and walked towards the entrance.

He was in a hurry. So much so, he decided to put the matter of the mission aside. After entering inside, he saw that the lobby was busy as usual.

The members were going about their business. He then went straight to meet Head Harold.

There were staff in the administration office. They were paying attention to who was coming and going.

They noticed Jeremy Night had returned. But instead of going to his room, he was going towards Head Harold's office.

The staff were surprised. Then they thought Head Harold might have summoned him. They returned to their work.

A few minutes later,

Jeremy Night arrived in front of the office. He asked for permission. Then he got a text message saying that he could come inside.

Creak!

Jeremy opened the door and walked inside. He saw Head Harold sitting behind the desk.

Harold saw Jeremy Night. Seeing that the kid was active and doing missions again, he was glad.

He then said, "It appears you have become active again. How did it go?"

Hearing that, Jeremy Night was not surprised. He thought Head Harold might have done some digging.

"It went well. But I met Governor Martin there," Jeremy said.

"Governor Martin?" Harold was taken aback.

He thought he heard something wrong. Then he watched the kid. His expression was serious.

"Tell me, what happened?" Harold asked in a serious tone. He didn't know what Governor Martin was doing there, especially when a Beast Tide had occurred recently.

Jeremy didn't waste time. He began to tell him.

"My mission goal was to capture the wild boars. By chance, I found and followed them to the border. The border happened to be an unexplored region."

"I saw piles of corpses there. The land was littered with the corpses of higher-tier beasts. I instantly knew it could be where the beast tide had come from."

"When I looked around, I saw someone standing in mid-air. The person happened to be Governor Martin."

"He is watching over the border," Jeremy said to him.

Harold touched his forehead. His expression said it all. He didn't have any good feelings about it.

"Did you tell anyone?" Harold asked.

Jeremy shook his head and said, "I came straight here to the organization."

"Good," Harold uttered.

"Tell no one. It appears that we are not safe yet. Go back to your room and train," Harold said in a strict tone.

Hearing that, Jeremy nodded his head. He thought Head Harold might do something about it. He then stood up and left the room.

He went back towards his room. When he got there, he opened the door and walked inside. Then he shut the door.

He thought the coming days won't be peaceful. He went to take a bath. He spent 20 minutes in the bath.

After coming out, he changed into comfortable clothes. He used his device to watch the news online. He saw no news media reporting about it.

A flicker appeared in his eyes. If the news were to be leaked, chaos would follow. People would do anything to leave the city.

Jeremy shook his head. Then he began to read other articles.

Meanwhile,

Head Harold stepped inside the wilderness. He wanted to know the truth. He needed to be ready if another Beast Tide appeared.

It didn't take long for him to reach the border. He saw the Governors there. They continued to watch the border, and their faces showed some understanding.

"Did they find out anything?" Harold thought.

His presence was sensed by the Governors. Three of them turned towards him.

Harold smiled. He then moved towards them in mid-air. He appeared before them.

Martin, Leon, and Orion saw him.

"Harold, what are you doing here?" Orion asked.

Martin's eyes glinted with understanding.

"Did the young Tier-3 Beast Tamer inform you?" Martin asked next.

Harold said, "Yes, he came right to see me and told me that he met you."

"And?" Martin asked.

"He told me that you are paying attention to the border. So I knew something was up. That's why I came here to see you."

"It appears I was right," Harold said.

Hearing that, the Governors looked at each other. They didn't want anyone to know, but they didn't expect Head Harold to come to know about it.

Now they had to convince him not to speak. Because if it was leaked that it was man-made, there would be chaos in the city.
