BLOOD LEGACIES

Chapter 233: Blood Lust

Turning, and ready to go off at speed again but something caught my leg and it felt like a wire, my gleaming eyes leveled to it. It looked like I just caught something loose and in response to my thoughts, I heard something snap.

I turned in speed when I saw a large trap of tree bark coming my way. Did I just walk into a trap? What was this a joke? Someone was certainly trying to aggravate me. With a wave of my sharp claw, I split the large tree into pieces.

That was when they came into view, out of nowhere and odorless. I should have smelt them from even a mile away but no... I didn’t. And right now I was surrounded. The trees and even below, what looked like figures in black and half of their faces covered. No one needed to tell me twice.

’Venatores’

I growled... drew sharply on my breath, as the frenzy took over, when I pictured Emma, part of my senses were back so I had my mind but right now, I lost it, I lost my goal as something else took over, blood lust. I was itching for the kill to the point all I thought of was blood and my claws slicing through flesh, my beast, my animalistic thoughts took over, and Emma was gone and replaced with nothing but darkness.

GRAYSON

We lay in waiting just like always in the deepest part of the woods, on trees, hiding in bushes, traps set and surveying the area, we knew werelions were attached to the wild and we knew this was the perfect hunting grounds. But over the past months, the werelions have been careful, and there were none in sight, but we were a patient Tribe, sometimes it took months of scouting but we aren’t bothered by it.

Through my binoculars {Night vision} and also heat signature detection I surveyed the area we covered from the top of a tree. Werelions give off abnormal heat so it was easy to detect them with this.
