After finishing her shift, Jiang An rushed alone to the Gao Family without much rest, in order to maintain the facade of their lie. The grandmother’s health had not been too well recently, so Shen Mei had moved the old lady from the villa. When Jiang An arrived, she happened to encounter a group of visitors paying New Year calls, and Shen Mei took her to meet and greet the relatives.
It was, after all, the New Year, and despite the family atmosphere not being too great, smiles were still worn on everyone’s faces.

Dr. Bai took a white towel he brought with him and stuffed it into Jiang An’s hands. Seeing the girl’s embarrassed expression upon hearing this, he seemed to understand something. He picked up the car keys from the table with a grin and left the ward, "I’m off!"
Once the noisy figure was gone, only Jiang An and Dr. Gao were left facing each other in the ward. The girl, awkwardly pinching the towel in her hand, gazed at the calm man seated on the bed without uttering a word and walked straight to the basin to wet the towel.
