Chapter 26 - 25 She’s Too Clever
Gao Chuan, with a gloomy face, came out of the girl’s bedroom and saw Song Li, still leisurely eating in the dining room. Without a word, he walked to the balcony, lit a cigarette, and the milky white smoke slowly rose, blurring his rugged face.
Song Li came over and stood next to Gao Chuan, also lighting a cigarette casually. He hadn’t expected Jiang An to have such a low alcohol tolerance; it seemed a bit like he had bullied the girl at their first meeting. "Is your sister-in-law alright?"
Gao Chuan turned his gaze sharply and glared at him, his voice cold: "She’s fine."
"This girl is also sensible, looks obedient, and you should be careful not to let anyone bully her," Song Li said, squinting his eyes and biting his cigarette.
Indeed, she was too obedient, especially in front of him. She never contradicted anything he said, even about getting married she had followed his wishes. Gao Chuan thought about it and couldn’t help feeling irritable. Ever since they got married, his thoughts had begun to become chaotic like never before.
"Have you finished eating? If you’re done, scram."
"Alright then." Seeing Gao Chuan’s behavior, Song Li quickly left, but before going, he did not forget to ask Gao Chuan to apologize to Jiang An on his behalf. As he reached downstairs, he looked back towards Gao Chuan’s balcony still lit up, the man raising the corner of his lips.
This was the first time he had seen Gao Chuan handle a woman.
