Secret Land Battlefield (Main Post)

The five humanoids were using their large claws for repeated strikes.

Boom!

When they launched an assault using their claw strikes, it created a booming sound in the air. It showed the power behind the strikes.

If the strikes were to land on a human body, they would have caused gruesome wounds.

Yet, they could not land a single successful hit. The human target was evading their attacks easily.

"Where are you running?" one of the creatures asked.

These foreign creatures could speak human language. Their strength was close to that of a Quasi-God.

The humanoids were cooperating seamlessly with each other. They were trying to land a severe attack.

Swoosh!

I evaded the attacks one after another. But I decided to go on the offensive. I used my movement technique.

Swoosh!

I went backward to create a wide gap. I held the white bone staff tightly in my hand. The white bone staff was currently covered in dark purple lightning power.

I began to add shock force to cover the white bone staff. The shock force power fused with the dark purple lightning power and covered the white bone staff.

A slight tinge of silver color appeared on the white bone staff.

Swoosh!

The five humanoids saw that Zack Lockwood had created a gap. They all looked at each other.

All five of their bodies were covered in dark energy cloaks. They could tell that Zack Lockwood was going to attack.

Swoosh!

They charged at Zack Lockwood with rapid speed.

On the other hand, my senses were heightened. My eyes locked onto their actions. I could predict their movements easily.

Swoosh!

When the claws got closer toward me, I twisted the staff sideways, avoiding the claws. The staff side came in contact with the first humanoid.

Boom!

The moment they collided, a deafening explosion erupted, hurling the creature through the air.

The humanoid creature, which was covered in the dark energy cloak, had its power receding at a faster rate.

The shock force and dark purple lightning force damaged the dark energy cloak. This time, the pace of destruction increased.

So, the humanoid creature felt the impact. The backlash hurt its body. It then crashed into the ground with a heavy thud.

Boom!

The shock force spread across the place. The instant crash created a deep pit. The surroundings were swept away by the shock force.

The other four humanoids were stunned. This time, they saw that one of them was clearly hurt. The second humanoid creature, which was nearest to the target, attacked immediately.

Thrust!

At the same time, I immediately reversed my grip and thrust the end of the staff toward the second creature.

The white bone staff was covered in both inheritance forces.

Boom!

Upon contact, a tremendous burst of energy occurred.

The violent power surged forth, flinging the creature backward.

It was a good opportunity to strike others. I rotated the staff before attacking the third humanoid.

The attack was horizontal. The staff collided with the shoulder. The contact unleashed the power of the two inheritances.

It sent the creature flying backward. It happened within moments. Now, only two other humanoid creatures remained in the place.

Boom!

I followed the new staff attack technique. As seconds passed, the staff bottom landed repetitive blows on the humanoids.

Both humanoid creatures crashed into different spots. The shock force and dark purple lightning force caused massive wounds to them.

Dust and smoke covered the place.

"It worked. The combination of the shock force and the dark purple lightning force has injured them," the ancient spirit said.

"Their dark energy looks different than before. It is like a special energy for them," I replied.

The ancient spirit was taken aback.

"You are spot on," the ancient spirit replied.

"It is called dark origin. You have only seen a small part. The real power is used by the Quasi-Gods on the foreign creatures’ side," the ancient spirit said.

Hearing that, my eyes flashed with understanding.

I put away the white bone staff inside the storage ring. Next, I spread my mental power to scan the surroundings.

I saw the situation of the humanoid creatures. They were struggling to get up. I approached the first deep pit.

The first humanoid creature was severely wounded. Black blood was flowing out from the wound. Yet, the creature’s vitality was still strong.

The humanoid creature revealed a wide mouth. It was covered in sharp rows of teeth. The humanoid creature saw me.

The gaze itself showed that it wanted to kill me. At the same time, the foreign creature was enraged. It did not know how the Half-Step Red Mark Warrior was able to defeat them.

The humanoid creature was scared for the first time.

At the same time, I circulated the two inheritance forces in my body. I prepared to execute the dark purple lightning technique.

"Lightning Finger Technique!"

A dark purple lightning ball formed at the tip of my hand. The white-silver shock force and the dark purple lightning force fused together.

Then, I began to cover the ball with a purple lightning film. I shot out the finger beam.

Boom!

In a flash, the finger beam landed on the body of the foreign creature.

The contact immediately destroyed the body of the foreign creature. The power spread across its internals.

It immediately scorched and electrocuted the internals. The foreign humanoid was covered in webs of lightning arcs.

Boom!

The foreign humanoid experienced shock. Pain went shooting through it. The deep wound widened further. This time, massive amounts of blood gushed forth from the wound.

I saw it with my own eyes. The vitality of the foreign humanoid ended before my eyes. Then, I rushed toward the second creature.

As time passed, I used the same finger beam to end the lives of the foreign creatures.

One after another, the shock force and purple lightning force ended the lives of the foreign creatures.

It did not take long for me to kill the remaining four foreign humanoids. From the beginning to the end, no other foreign creatures had come to the place.

The situation really shocked me. I did not know whether there were any other creatures around.

I moved away from the spot. I started exploring the way forward. While exploring the path ahead, I had a conversation with the ancient spirit.

I wanted the ancient spirit to keep an eye on the surroundings. I did not know about the full extent of its abilities, but I thought that the ancient spirit could do it.

As time passed, I walked more than a few miles. Yet, I could not see the end of the secret land.

No wonder I could not find any enemies.

"They gave you permission to enter the secret land to fight alone. That is why it is different from other proper battlefields," the ancient spirit gave its opinion.

Hearing that, I had the same idea. All I wanted was to fight alone. Since I had my own space now, I should not complain about the terrain and other difficulties.

After gaining some clarity in my thoughts, I became more relaxed. I found a place to rest. It was a natural crevice on a big bedrock.

I rested there while the ancient spirit conversed with me. I did not know when the secret land would reject me.

I had learned that the dark energy of the enemies was getting stronger. It appeared that I could not halt my schedule, as the difficulty would mount further.

I started doing self-reflection. I began to recall my initial journeys. I recalled Uncle James and Granny Park.

Then, I recalled my apprentice days. I have come a long way since then. I recalled the days spent in the Saw Scale Viper Academy.

I recalled my days in the Tier-5 region. The Federation gave me good exposure. Teacher Lowell McClain was my backbone there.

I wondered what they were doing right now. The ancient spirit noticed that Zack Lockwood was doing some self-pondering, so it kept an eye on the surroundings.

One hour later,

I felt the shaking of the surroundings. I collected my thoughts and rushed outside. Right then, I felt the reaction from the secret land.

My eyes filled with surprise. Before I knew it, my body was pulled away. I was thrown into a space crack. The next thing I knew, I landed outside on the ground from the space crack.

Thud!

The landing was so sudden. I stood up and looked at the surroundings. I was back in familiar surroundings. There were no signs of other space cracks.

Next, I collected my thoughts and started heading back toward the residence. It did not take long for me to reach the main street.

I came across parked cabs there. I approached one driver and inquired, learning the battle ended an hour ago and everyone returned.

I was the only late arrival. Nobody knew me, so I hopped inside the cab to return to my residence.
